"Blake Whiten still has it! Mostly recent tunes were performed, with a good mix of older songs (off last 2 albums from what I could tell). The crowd loved the more recent ones, especially the Scarecrow album - but I really liked the older ones.
I especially liked the arrangements he did on the more recent songs. For example, the song "Easter Eve” had an Irish drinking song feel to it. I preferred it to the album, frankly (sorry, Blake).
Another great thing about the show was the mix of him moving around the stage, having a full band, him alone, etc. Couldn't tell he drove 1000 miles to get there & his age now. The lighting was pretty cool too - hadn't seen that type of lighting patterns & the single bulbs before.
The movie intro, not a fan, but it had some really good portions. The best were the recording sessions, but I think it needed a female voiceover occasionally.
